The Competitiveness Improvement Services (CIS) programme helps SMMEs, co-operatives, and larger enterprises become more productive, efficient, and globally competitive — with a focus on long-term growth and job creation.
Working through hands-on capacity building, workplace transformation, and enterprise development support, CIS equips businesses in priority sectors with the tools and mindset to continuously improve.
- Available to SMMEs, co-operatives, and larger enterprises across productive sectors
- Delivered through the dtic-funded Workplace Challenge Programme and other initiatives
- Focuses on people, processes, and products for lasting operational improvement
- Supports B-BBEE transformation, including through SEZs and Black Industrialist interventions
