LAP EMPLOYER SESSION
The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) through Labour Activation Programm (LAP) in
partnership with Productivity SA in the Western Cape, cordially invites employers and SMME’s under
the City of Cape Town Municipality to attend the LAP’s Employer Session that will be held at the
Presidential Hotel in Cape Town (Western Cape).
The LAP’s Employer Session aims to empower employers, educare and raise awareness about
Labour Activation Programm’s and relevant labour laws impacting employee working conditions.
In addition, the session seeks to encourage meaningful interaction between the Department of
Employment and Labour, and its valued key strategic stakeholders, particularly employees. This
aligns with the DEL’s mandate to safeguard the interests of vulnerable workers.

• TERS and BT&R • UIF Compliance and Declarations • Clarifying Reduced Worktime Benefits •
Compensation Fund (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act) • Inspection and
Enforcement Services (Basic Conditions of Employment Act / National Minimum Wage and OHS) •
