Distinguished Guests, Colleagues, and Everyone who has joined us today, good afternoon.

Every Annual General Meeting marks progress, but this one marks a turning point. Today, we have not only reviewed the strides made by Productivity SA but also stood at the threshold of a new era, as we bid farewell to one Board and welcome another.

This occasion carries weight. Over the past term, this Board has walked a journey of resilience and renewal. Together, we have steered Productivity SA through challenges, seized opportunities, and laid down foundations on which the organisation can continue to thrive. It has been a journey of service, of growth, and of partnership.

To my fellow Board members, I wish to say thank you. Serving alongside you has been an honour, and the legacy we leave is one of commitment and courage. We hand over not just reports and resolutions, but also a spirit of collaboration and a vision that will outlast our term.

To the incoming Board, congratulations. You take up the baton at a time when productivity has never been more important for South Africa’s competitiveness and inclusive growth. The path ahead will demand innovation, resilience, and partnership—but I have no doubt you will rise to the occasion. May you carry this mission with boldness and integrity.

To our Deputy Minister and partners from labour, business, government, and beyond, thank you. Your presence and your support remind us that productivity is not the work of one organisation alone, but a shared national effort. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will continue to drive meaningful impact.

As this chapter closes and another begins, let us hold on to this truth: leadership may change, but the mission endures. Productivity is the seed of prosperity, and the work we do today will shape the South Africa of tomorrow. Let us move forward with renewed determination, united in purpose, and confident in the brighter future that lies ahead.

As the theme says, “From our roots, we rise together”, carrying forward the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and resilience that defines Productivity SA. May this AGM not only reflect on achievements but also mark the beginning of a new chapter, where strengthened performance, deepened partnerships, and meaningful impact become the collective reality.

Finally, let us remember: productivity is not a sprint, but a marathon, one that demands perseverance, commitment, and vision. Every step we take, every enterprise we support, and every job we preserve brings us closer to a stronger, more competitive, and inclusive South Africa.

On behalf of the outgoing Board, I extend our deepest gratitude to all who supported our journey—our stakeholders, partners, the Executive team, staff, everyone who played a role in putting together this successful event today, and everyone who joined us physically and virtually. Together, let’s continue to make a difference in our beautiful country.
