Productivity and Competitiveness Seminar to forge way forward for SA competitiveness
The North-West University School of Business and Governance ‘s Professor Raymond Parsons, will headline a Productivity and Competitiveness Seminar scheduled to take place this week with the aim of assisting South Africa to move out its current economic doldrums.
Professor Raymond Parsons is a professor at the North-West University School of Business and Governance and an extraordinary professor in the TRADE research focus area. He studied economics at the Universities of Cape Town, Oxford and Copenhagen, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU).
Professor Parsons is the author of the recently published book, Recession, Recovery & Reform – South Africa After Covid-19, which comprises a fascinating collection of essays by some of South Africa’s thought leaders, including the Chairman of Productivity SA Board, Prof Mthunzi Mdwaba and CEO of Productivity SA, Mr. Mothunye Mothiba, who contributed a chapter on Productivity to the book.
The Chairman of Productivity SA Board, Professor Mthunzi Mdwaba, will outline how the release of a document titled “Unlocking South Africa’s productivity potential for sustained competitiveness and economic growth post Covid-19” can assist the country.
