FS entrepreneurs compete nationally

Six Free State entrepreneurs who won Productivity SA Awards provincially competed for this year’s national titles at the final held in Johannesburg, last Thursday (17/10).

They qualified for the final nationally by winning provincially in the two categories, cooperative sector and emerging sector.

Finalists in the emerging sector were Ramtsilo Trading (Sasolburg), Timeless Tomatoes (Bethulie) and Lalibela Holding Pty Ltd T/A Barrier Teck (Qwaqwa). In the co-operative category finalists were Jopane Agricultural Primary Co-operative Limited (Tweespruit), Lesika Agricultural Primary Co-operative Limited (Botshabelo) and MCV Agriacomologitic Primary Co-operative Limited.

The other categories were the public and corporate sectors.

The provincial winners were named at the provincial function held in Bloemfontein during September. They were chosen for successfully implementing productivity and improvement of interventions in the Free State. These awards recognise and reward cooperatives making strides to epitomise the highest qualities and contri-butes to productivity. Over 100 enterprises within the public and private sectors are rewarded for their contribution in growing the economy.

Nandi Dabula, marketing and communication manager for Productivity SA, said the provincial winners were on track contributing to productivity, employment, wealth and income growth as well playing a crucial role in social responsibility.
