The National Productivity Awards gala event was held on the 19th of October at Gallagher Estate. The National Productivity Awards seek to:
• Recognise the vigorous efforts and initiatives of various businesses across all sectors in improving productivity,
• Raise awareness levels about the role of productivity in growing and developing the South African economy, and
• Inspire a sense of pride among different communities for the strides that are being made by organisations of different sizes in driving South Africa’s competitiveness, thus creating a community of productivity champions.
The regional awards were held throughout the year – first phase of the awards took place on a provincial level and with awards ceremonies being held in all Regions. An Independent Adjudication panel that consisted of independent thought leaders from business, academia and government adjudicated the finalists. Over 700 guests attended the prestigious event.
