Call For Applications on Business Turnaround and Recovery programme initiative.

Productivity South Africa (herein after referred to as Productivity SA) is established in terms of Section 31 of the Employment Services Act, No. 4 of 2014 as a public entity of the Department of Employment and Labour and is managed in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). As a schedule 3A Public Entity. Productivity SA carries the responsibility to fulfil an economic or social mandate of government, which is to promote employment growth and productivity thereby contributing to South Africa’s socio-economic development and competitiveness.

Productivity SA is calling for partnerships with Service Providers to render services to Productivity SA’s Business Turnaround and Recovery programme (BT&R), an initiative funded by the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF). The aim of the BT&R programme is to:

  • Prevent job losses,
  • Improve profitability,
  • Create an environment that is conducive for job retention and creation,
  • Improve productivity and
  • Create a culture of productivity.

A minimum relevant tertiary qualification equivalent to NQF Level 6 accompanied by a portfolio of evidence in business turnaround is required. To be considered for inclusion in the approved service provider database, the BT&R Programme is looking for service providers with five to ten years of experience in one or more of the following skill sets:

  • Business assessments/diagnostics.
  • Business consulting services, including but not limited to:
  • Financial, marketing, human resources, information technology, business planning and strategy, and training.
  • Developing Business turnaround strategies.
  • Business process improvement services, including but not limited to:
  • Re-engineering, Lean Methodologies and Productivity improvement.
  • Business growth and development support.
  • Marketing including social media marketing and Digitalization.
  • Facilitating access to funding.
  • Development of training material and implementation of thereof for people with disabilities.

Applicants must complete the application form and provide supporting documents listed below:

  • Detailed company profile.
  • Company registration documents.
  • Comprehensive CV/s detailing the relevant consulting offering of all Directors/team members that will be assigned to Productivity SA. 
  • Certified copies of certification and qualification of Directors/ team members assigned to Productivity SA. 
  • At least three signed reference letters (including the contact information from companies) detailing the experience of similar services offered. 

The following compliance documents must be submitted with the Application Form: 

  • Submission of Tax status pin. 
  • Valid BBBEE certificate or BEE Exemption Affidavit. 
  • Bank confirmation letter.
  • SBD 4 – Declaration of interest. 
  • Latest Central Supplier Database report.
